Did not try your e-polling 'cos I don't know who to vote for, hee. But since your subject reminds me of the GE, how I wish that the GE is conducted this way. Then the old and infirm with walking sticks and wheelchairs can do it from the comfort of their homes, with the help of their Singpass, of course.
One more thing - the Election Dept should seriously consider using something similar to Optical Answer Sheets which most students use nowadays for answering their multiple choice questions in their exams. Then a machine can do the counting of the votes in minutes instead of the hours now required to do manual counting. The added advantage is that machines count very accurately too. IMHO, the Election Dept should just move on (pardon the pun) with the times.
GE by internet - for security reasons, I think new passwords will be needed for all. Secrecy is another problem. A grandmother tells his son to vote 'the lightning' and her son votes 'the hammer' instead. If optical answers are used, I think there will be many more rejected votes.
Vic,I think you be disappointed. Given that the Government considers election a very serious thing, not tikam-tikam, this is unlikely to happen.
