‘down Bian' demonstrations
I feel that they should not force Ah Bian to step down. If he is corrupt, then charge him. If Taiwan laws do not allow it, then they should pressurize the court to amend the laws.
But if Ah Bian feels that he has done wrong, then he should step down on his own.
Street protests during IMF-WB meet
I think these should not be allowed.
From past experiences the supposed peaceful protests always turned violent.
These are not the only way to express your views.
Of course they are illegal in the first place.

History has shown that leaders will not step down on their own accord even though they may have done wrong. Examples are Ferdinand Marcos, Suharto, Saddam Hussein, Thaksin, and so on. So they must be brought down by people's power or forcefully.
if i not wrong, in tw, cant charge him as he is e head of the state.
unlike the other countries, tw parliament is made up of majority opposition. however, the opposition did not sufficient vote to overthrow bian
eyes now on Ma YingJiu n KMT.
I can understand why the Taiwanese people want him down. If I'm not wrong, there's a regulation in Taiwanese law stating that the PM (if he's been elected the 2nd time again after his first run), will still remain on government payroll even after he completes his tour-of-duty as PM, till the day he leaves this earth. Having a PM that "eats" his people's money is bad enough, and of course the Taiwanese people want to stop him from having such "privillege" after his term of service!
How coincident, immediately after this post, Thailand had a coup and Thaksin was brought down. But Taiwan is unlikely to suffer the same fate.
I'm not in favour of elected leaders being ousted by coups or demonstrations. Even if millions are demonstrating or even if they are corrupt, it doesn't mean the majority do not support them. Isn't this about democracy - majority rules?
Just let them continue the several months of their terms and then vote them out. Too simple-minded?
